Fueling the PreK-12 Pipeline using Sustainable Strategic CSTEM Learning

Deadline: July 23, 2010 and Late Registration Ends August 18, 2010. Late fee: $100.00
Note: At least (1) teacher from each participating school on a Pre K-12 team must participate in at least one day of training. It is recommended that teachers attend all (3) days of the training. Participants will be responsible for all costs and fees associated with the workshop including transportation, lodging, and meals. A portion of the registration fee is used to offset processing, mailing, phone charges, duplication of course materials, and refreshments. Registration fees must be paid in advance.

Instructor Bio: Dr. Reagan D. Flowers coined CSTEM Education as an instructional pedagogy in 2002 when she founded CSTEM Teacher and Student Support Services, Inc, as a 501(c)(3) organization. Under her leadership as the founder and CEO, she has successfully connected with classrooms at the grassroots level directly impacting teaching and learning within STEM, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and visual arts classrooms. CSTEM reaches over 20,000 students, 500 teachers, and 250,000 households annually. Through focused teacher training and student centered real-world projects, Dr. Flowers assists teachers with bringing text book learning to life in the classroom for children in grades Pre K-12. Dr. Flowers received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas Southern University, Master of Arts in Counseling from Prairie View A & M University of Texas, and Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from The Union Institute & University. Through CSTEM, Dr. Flowers connects with schools, communities, and parents by providing innovative support services in areas of communication, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics that leave lasting footprints in the lives of children.
